LUMINA Skincare is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe skincare should be a welcoming experience for every person, and we work to provide an online store that can be used comfortably regardless of ability, assistive technology, or device.
Conformance Standard
Our website strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities — including visual, auditory, cognitive, motor, and neurological disabilities.
"Strives to conform" means we take the guidelines as our target and work toward meeting them, but we have not completed a full third-party audit and cannot guarantee that every page meets every criterion at all times. We address issues as we find them or as they are reported to us.
Measures We Take
To support accessibility, we have taken the following steps:
- Designed for readable color contrast between text and backgrounds.
- Provided descriptive alt text for product images and key graphics.
- Used semantic HTML (headings, lists, labels) so screen readers can navigate content in a predictable order.
- Built forms with associated labels and clear error messages.
- Ensured the site is responsive and usable on mobile devices, tablets, and desktops.
- Provided a skip-to-main-content link on every page.
- Kept page interactions reachable by keyboard where possible.
- Made our AI Skin Advisor chat widget keyboard-accessible and readable by screen readers.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas of the site may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Third-party content: Some features (such as embedded reviews, the chat widget, and the checkout flow) rely on third-party services. We do not control the underlying accessibility of those providers, though we select partners that support accessibility where possible.
- Customer-submitted photos: Images uploaded by customers with their reviews may not always include descriptive alt text.
- Decorative animations: Some visual elements are decorative and may not add information for users who rely on screen readers.
We are working to address these limitations as part of ongoing site improvements.
